Kasey Rachel is an attorney at Sikes & Rachel, P.C. Although Sikes & Rachel is a full-service civil law firm, Kasey practices primarily in the areas of family law, business transactions, real estate, probate, and guardianship. She handles cases in Johnson County, Somervell, Bosque, and Hill Counties.
Kasey was born and raised in Cleburne, Texas. She graduated from Cleburne High School as salutatorian of her senior class and then attended Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. At A&M, Kasey was involved in the Legal Education Group for Aggie Law Students and with the Pre-Law Society. She graduated cum laude in three years with her Bachelor’s degree in political science, minoring in business.
The August following her matriculation from Texas A&M, Kasey made the long trip out to Lubbock, Texas to attend Texas Tech School of Law. During her time at Texas Tech, Kasey participated in the oral advocacy program, winning the award of Top Oralist in the Spring 2010 Moot Court Competition. After her first year of law school, she enrolled in the joint J.D./M.B.A. program and began taking her master’s classes in business over the summer.
While in law school, Kasey served on Volume 43 and Volume 44 of the Texas Tech Law Review. She was also a member of the Organization of Women Law Students and the Aggie Bar Association. In three years, Kasey was able to earn her J.D., as well as her M.B.A., graduating cum laude in May 2012.
After having worked at the law firm during school holidays since 2006, Kasey was thrilled to return to Cleburne and to the firm in August 2012, becoming partner in January 2015. Kasey was licensed to practice law in Texas in November 2012. She is involved in her local church and enjoys being with her family. As a member of the Sikes & Rachel team, Kasey maintains that the practice of law is about helping others through effective, yet morally dignified, representation.
